What makes it unique?
Occasionally, Ethiopian opals will appear to have their color concentrated as layers near the surface of the stone rather than coming from deep within the stone. Stones like this are opaque and usually have some sort of chaff pattern, which this one has. These opals are colorful even in low-light settings and, when bathed in direct sunlight, become a disco ball of colors.
